  • Three cheers for music!

Well, I made an amazing discovery. I was outside today just chatting away with my sister when I let her know a friend and I were interested in starting a band, nothing serious or whatever. Basically we just want to do it since we both enjoy music. So then my sister said she really enjoyed my singing, which surprised me since I figured my singing voice was adequate at best. And then, somehow, we started singing, and she did the harmony. I was extremely surprised at how well we sounded together. I'm actually kind of excited now. I was thinking that my sis could come in on the band thingy and sing with me. So, her and I would be the singers, then we'd have my friend be the drummer (and she's extremely talented) and we have a guy on guitar who's apparently really good. I haven't heard him yet though, but I trust my friend's opinion. I don't think we'll ever be famous or anything, but I'm really excited to just get together with a few people and hopefully enjoy the process of making some beautiful music.

Sorry I haven't put up the one poem. I haven't recorded anything in a while. Life's been busy, specially during these past few weeks what with Christmas and New Years and all the lovely business that comes along with them. Eh. Maybe I'll get around to it.

  • I guess in some big magazine there was an article listing the top ten places in the US that were dying. Middletown, a small town in Ohio and the place I'm currently living in, was number ten. I'm not really sure what all words would work for the many thoughts that go through my brain as I think about that. I wrote a poem that was inspired from one of those thoughts; I'll put it up later, but it'll have to be a recording of me reading it, cause I always hate the way people read my poems. They never get them right and never fully understand them until they listen to me reading them.

  • Is pot okay?

Drugs are everywhere. I'm currently living in a little town in Ohio, and the biggest thing going on here is drugs. There's nothing else really to do. I have smoked pot (haven't done any of the harder stuff that also goes on) occasionally, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Take alcohol for instance. The Bible says it's okay to drink so long as you're not getting drunk. Well, could pot work the same way? I mean, you can smoke a little and feel good, but you can also smoke a lot and get completely stoned. Is it possible to smoke a little and be alright? But at the same time, I don't really know any Christians who say that smoking pot is okay, so I'm not sure. Anywho, any insight would be nice.

  • You know, I've seen a lot of families where the siblings don't get along very well. They fight and bicker over the smallest things. I'm so happy that's not how it is in mine. My brothers and I are all very close, and I'd die for each one of them. My two older brothers have matching tattoos with me, and when the youngest one gets old enough, he'll join us. And my sisters are just as close as us brothers are. They're so alike it's amazing and admittedly frightening at times.

I just got off the phone with my little sister a few minutes ago and realized how refreshing it can be to talk to someone you love so much. I'm so glad that I have a sister, and a whole bunch of other siblings, that I love so much who return the love equally, and if not, more so. They make life way easier.

About Me

  • I'm not even gonna pretend like I understand enough about myself to put accurate information in this "about me" box. I don't really know what's going on in my brain with it's strobe-light thought process. But hey, I like me, maybe you will too.
